You might know that I have taken loads of online art courses over the past couple of years. In fact, that is how I got back into making art after finding a course called Make Art That Sells. The title stopped me in my tracks. What? I can actually make money from doing what I love? The answer is a definite yes, but, it does take a lot of work and commitment.

Anyway, I have now taken most of the wonderful MATS classes taught by the incomparable Lilla Rogers, who is herself an experienced artist and art agent. The last last I took was the MATS Home Decor in the Autumn of last year. It was an intense 5 week class focussing on all the different substrates (posh designy term for 'surfaces', e.g. metal, wood, etc) that you can put art onto for the home decor market.

The latest MATS newsletter is ramping up the marketing for the new Home Decor class and they  featured the work of two alumni artists - Asa Gilland (who's work I absolutely adore) and ............ me!!

Here is a slightly fuzzy screen shot of the newsletter.

I couldn't be more honoured to be considered worthy of being in at MATS marketing Newsletter. Happy days :)

Here's a clearer image of my final work for the MATS Home Decor course. So many hours went into this, but I'm really proud of the final result.
